Broken Table

    Here's a funny joke. Have you broken a table just by sitting? I certainly have. It was a funny experience for me. It's not every day you start breaking tables just by sitting. It was funny as everyone laughed and I laughed at how absurd what happened.

    So I was in 5th grade elementary at the time. My classmates and I had just finished selling food in class, and it was a mess. There was litter around the room, confetti, and a lot of cooking waste.

So, the teacher told us to clean the room and make it clean again, So my friends and I started cleaning the room till it was quite clean. There were still some dirtiness around the room and some unfinished decoration cleaning, but more or less it was clean. My friends and I took a break, eating some food, and talking, the usual stuff people do. My friends and I sometimes sit at tables, since chairs only fit a single person and there were like a few of us.

The tables could fit a few people on them, so we liked sitting on them cause it's quite long and wide. That day was no different than any other day. My friends and I were sitting at the table, talking with friends about the profits and selling. While I was just sitting there, menacingly or calmly since it wasn't menacing at all really. That is when I felt the table is like falling down, so my friends and I went down the table and it broke. We saw the broken table with confusion, as it had broken down on its top side, while its legs are alive or standing.

My friends and I started laughing at how we accidentally broke school property and were thinking about what to do. Eventually, the teacher found out and told us to move the table. We were all still laughing at that point and became a very memorable memory, as it was absurd.

    I remember that day very nicely. Sitting on tables and resulting in a broken table hit my friends and me quite hard, so we stopped doing it for a while. And started sitting on it again not having learned our lesson at all. It was a funny experience, we kept sitting at the table, but the event had not happened again since then. I learned not to sit at the tables for too long or with too many people cause I don't want to fear another broken table, cause it was absurd, funny, and embarrassing. I don't frequent sitting at tables anymore, however, I do it sometimes when I'm waiting for people, cause getting a chair would take a few more seconds than a table. That's about it.
